Hang onto the Date 1.3.14

My very first attempt to use photoshop. Took me several hours to explore around with the icons to come out with this. I'm so proud of it. Of course, thanks to my boy whom came out with the preliminary design. We worked together to improve on the design and the tiffany green suited our theme colour. Now, we're waiting for the printouts before customising the cards.

We started to distribute the cards 4 months before the wedding day. Most of the cards were distributed by hand and so, we had the opportunities to catch up with our friends. It was tiring having meetups every other day after work but the joy I had from catching up with them was great. We realised the concept of "Save the Date" card was relatively new to most people.

For the cards, we spent a few weekends to DIY the envelope. Just when I was thinking of the material to use for the envelope, my office was disposing rolls of tracing paper. I grabbed a few rolls back and started cutting and folding the envelopes. While I was doing the sewing, my boy was punching holes and tying the green twine which we bought in Taipei. We cut off the edge and did a final trimming before the cards were ready to be distributed.
