Penang Pre-wedding

A few weeks before the trip, Dave asked if we would like to join him in Penang and at the same time, we could have a pre-wedding photoshoot. Our air tickets weren't very cheap because bought at the last minute and it was during the June school holidays. In the recent years, I heard people talking about Penang. I went there once when I was barely 10 years old. I couldn't hardly recall anything about Penang. On friday after work, we flew to Penang and Dave picked us from the airport. His young and pretty mum even prepared supper for us! How thoughtful of her. The next morning we took the ferry to George Town as Dave was staying in Butterworth. Dave brought us around for food hunting. The food was great!!! Penang came as a surprise for me! Such an arty farty place filled with a taste of peranakan. There were so many nice cafes!

The next morning I woke up at about 4am for make up. My MUA, Venisses, was late because she wasn't familiar with Butterworth area. I had a great time chatting with her on our lifestyles. Furthermore, she wasn't the kind of MUA who required top up for this and that. Highly recommended! After more than 2 hours of make up, we headed to Peranakan Museum. We were supposed to catch the sunrise but the make up took too long. Guess we were probably too engrossed in our chatting which slowed down the process. The museum was empty when we arrived and managed to capture many beautiful photos before the crowd appeared. I loved the red short grown and qipao but gonna sell the red short gown since I wouldn't have the opportunity to wear it again. Selling HERE!

After the museum, we changed to our causal wear. I wore a yellow nautical dress while my boy wore a light blue top and red berms from Pull & Bear. We took photos along the road, colonial houses and an abandoned factory. I loved the rustic feel from the abandoned factory! Exactly what I was looking for. Then Dave brought us to a private beach. Such a lovely place which was not crowded. We had fun running up and down the beach before heading to the paddy field opposite Dave's house.
