Makeup on Wedding Day
I totally love my MUA! Ice is a soft spoken and sweet lady.
As my holy matrimony was held outdoor, I was concerned that I would sweat and so I requested for a clean hairstyle. My florist did a beautiful crown to go with my first hairstyle.
The last hairstyle for 2nd march-in was similar to the one I had in TW for photoshoot.

For the second hairstyle, my hair was let down on one side with braid at the back. The flowers were prepared by my florist too!

The White Dress for Bridesmaids
"If
there's one thing on this list you can be selfish about, it's colour. So pick
one you really, really like - you'll be surrounded by it in a majority of your
photos! The most popular choices tend to be pastels because of how soft and
feminine they are, but a bridal party in grey, black or even white (if you
don't mind sharing the colour) can be seriously elegant."

I simply love grey maxi dress for bridesmaid because it is so elegant. My heart
will probably melt seeing it. But my friends commented that bridesmaids
shouldn't wear the same colour as me. Well, I tried to explore champagne and
white but I had the same comment too. Over the last few months, I was looking
for a green dress but to no avail. I decided on white short dress for my
bridesmaids from Love Bonito. Afterall, I feel it's alright to be sharing the
same colour. I'm not worried that they will snatch away the limelight on my
wedding day. I feel that it should be about being my best instead of being the
best relative to others. As much as I want to look good that day, I want my
bridesmaids to be well dressed up too.

Wedding Favors - Burlap Tea Bags
Materials/items required:
- Burlap
- Twine
- Paper
- Sewing machine, thread, sewing chalk, needles and scissor
- Printer, paper cutter and hole puncher
We spent months brainstorming on the wedding favors as the hotel wouldn't provide for the lunch buffet. We searched high and low online and in-stores but couldn't find a wedding favor that we both liked and within our budget. We thought it would be nice to hand made something for our guests and so, we decided to sew our own burlap pouch with tea bags. The burlap was bought during Spotlight sale and we chose white burlap over the typical brown burlap. It was cheaper by around $2+/yard during the sale.
During our trip in TW, I chanced upon a bookstore and bought a lot of fanciful papers. At that point of time, I bought without knowing what to do with it. It came in handy when we couldn't decide on the tags for wedding favors. We printed the tags using the printer we bought just before our big day.
Other ideas:
Lunch Menu - Kraft Paper
Materials/items required:
- Kraft paper
- Printer and scissor
We bought the kraft papers from a wholesale supplier in MacPherson. The supplier was selling it at a lower price and the staffs were very helpful.
The supplier had wooden boards lying around and I requested to bring one home. One of my sisters painted this directional board for me! She surprised us with her hidden talent.
Materials/items required:
- Wooden board
- Chalk paint
- Chalk marker

Burlap Flags
Materials/items required:
- Burlap
- Lace
- Kraft paper
- Twine
- Printer, double sided tape and scissor
These burlap flags were very easy to make and they didn't demand for expensive materials. I've made 4 burlap flags i.e. LOVE, JOY, MR & MRS and HAH. Making these burlap flags was one of the easiest DIY project we tried. Simply have to cut the burlap into 9" by 6.5" for each alphabet. Then, fold and sew 0.5" on one side. Lay the twine into the fold while sewing it. This will save you the trouble of threading the twine after that. As for the alphabets, print them onto 6.6" by 4.6" kraft paper for each alphabet. Lastly, use double sided tape to stick the lace and kraft paper onto the burlap flag.
Date Board
Materials/items required:
- Wooden board
- Nails
- Thread
We bought the wooden board from Daiso at $2 and the boy did the nailing while I twined the thread from nail to nail in a random manner. It was done for our TW photoshoot and we decided to keep it for actual day wedding too.
Seal for Invitation
Materials/items required:
- Wax bits
- Seal
- Wax fuel (those used for BBQ or camping)
If you're planning to use wax seal, consider getting wax that comes in the form of individual piece. Each piece of wax is for one seal. It is more convenient than wax stick. Also, do get the wax fuel (can) for a steady flame over a period of time.
Burlap Ring Pillow
Materials/items required:
- Burlap
- Cloth in light colour
- Ribbon
- Sewing machine, needle, thread, sewing chalk, scissor, fabric glue, printer and paper
Flower Paper Pom Pom
Guestbook
Floral Posy for Aisle and Flowergirls
Materials/items required:
- Burlap
- Plastic sewing mesh for support
- Satin trimming
- Baby's breath, daisy and hygendra
The day before our wedding, my hands got itchy and decided to hands-on! We dropped the JM Florist in the afternoon. It was cheaper in JM Florist.
